About Artist: Painter, printmaker, poet, Su-Li Hung was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan in 1947. She graduated from National Taiwan University with a degree in Art and Chinese Literature. In 1970 Hung moved to New York City to study painting and printmaking at The Art Students League and The National Academy School of Fine Art. She is a member of the Society of American Graphic Artists (SAGA) and has been awarded the Gold Medal twice by the Audubon Artist Annual Juried Exhibitions; Delta National Small Prints Exhibition, Purchase Prize; three awards from the SAGA Annual Juried Exhibitions – Robert Kipniss Award, Robert Conover Memorial Award, Robert Blackburn Award; Silvermine Guild 24th National Print Exhibition, 2nd Place Award; The Boston Printmakers Exhibition, Graphic Prize; among others. Su-Li Hung has published 31 books in Taiwan and Hong Kong. These include books of short stories, poetry, and essays. Recently she authored and illustrated two children’s books. Her work is in the Collections of: The Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland, OH; The Fogg Museum, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA.; Library of Congress, Washington, DC; The British Museum, London, England; New York Historical Society, New York, NY; Newark Public Library, Newark, NJ; Boston Public Library, Boston, MA; National Museum of Fine Art, Vietnam; among others.
